Buying an online business online can be a little daunting. In fact, buying anything online can be daunting if you’ve never done it before. Whether you are buying a turnkey website or a teddy bear for a granddaughter, you will never see the seller face-to-face and they have to rely on consumer review websites to determine if buying is a good idea.

The first quick signs of a good seller are if they have a way to reach them through their website, have a good selection of different niche websites, and the domain name of the “turnkey” seller is over a year or two old (this indicates that their business practices are honest and that they were promised fulfillment, which would help them operate for more than a few months). Click here to read more about how to find an honest turnkey seller.

The first step in buying a business from a website is probably the easiest part of the buying process. This step involves having the buyer (you) authorize the transaction through an online payment gateway or send money the old-fashioned way, through a money order. (Keep in mind that money orders are the safest and most reliable way to send money offline. Checkouts, especially checks collected from banks you are unfamiliar with, are not secure and cannot be fraudulent.) But with this disclaimer, I prefer to use online payment gateways (PayPal is my preferred way, Google Checkout close to a second) to send money when buying turnkey businesses.

The payment processor will be slightly different depending on whether you use Google Checkout, PayPal, or another payment gateway. But there are some common elements to all online check-out processes: you’ll need to enter your information (name, credit card number, etc.), or you can sign in if you already have an account with a payment processor (PayPal, Google Checkout, etc.) after you submit your information, usually you will go to the payment confirmation screen. After you confirm your purchase, you will receive a confirmation message at the email address you provided during the sign-out process (or the email address you linked to your existing account that you are logged into). The seller will also receive an email notifying you that the payment has been received, the amount and item number or product name.

Using payment systems like PayPal, Google Checkout, or Moneybookers is simply an easy, fast, and secure way to transfer money online. Like Visa and other major credit card companies, these online money transfer systems are built with a high level of security and send your information through securely encrypted channels to ensure your privacy. If you use a service like PayPal or Google Checkout, you can be sure that your money and information will be safe.

The second step happens when you contact the turnkey website seller. Do not consider a sales receipt from PayPal or another payment access company to be the company’s actual response. Companies usually respond within 24 business hours; some respond within just a few hours and some may take longer depending on the time difference and amount of sales. If you think the response time is too long, do not hesitate to contact the company by email or their contact form for the website.

When you report from a company, an email will most likely contain information about the following four important steps:

  • How to update your affiliate program connection information
  • How the domain transfer process will work
  • How to log in to your cPanel
  • What type of hosting is offered

(If you buy your site from a reputable turnkey site reseller, such as ABC Design Studio, you should receive a domain name and hosting for free or discounted rates. Click here to browse the ABC Design Studio turnkey website businesses “.)

Please read this email and instructions carefully to fully understand what is required of you so you can take ownership of your business. Don’t wait too long and don’t hesitate to ask questions if you need to. But keep in mind that a broker on a turnkey website, no matter how reputable, cannot be held responsible for your downside!

Many things you’ll need to sign up for affiliate accounts (like Google AdSense, Junction Commission, or ClickBank) This process can take some time, depending on how many affiliate programs your new site uses. If you are not computer-savvy and your site links to multiple affiliate programs that confuse you, expect to spend 1-2 hours completing your affiliate program accounts and returning an email to the seller with your affiliate account information. Some companies have to submit your information via a form, which is generally more secure than email. But both options work just fine.

A reseller company is also likely to give you instructions on how to set up an account in a reseller domain such as GoDaddy or HostGator. This is because, after setting up and updating your site, you will need to take ownership of the domain name. The easiest way to do this is to transfer ownership from a reseller to you through a popular online domain reseller service, such as GoDaddy.

The third step of this process occurs after you receive an email from the key company informing you that the affiliate program link integration is complete, your hosting account is set up, and your domain name has been transferred to you. If the business you purchased using GoDaddy – the largest online retailer for domain names and digital domain related products – you’ll need to sign in to your GoDaddy account to accept the transfer.

Once you accept the domain transfer, your website has been successfully transformed into you. You can confirm your ownership by visiting http://www.whois.net and entering your domain name for your site. Allow some time for the WhoIs database to update its records. WhoIs can take from a few hours to a few days to reflect changes in website ownership.

Once you’ve acquired domain ownership by following the steps outlined by a site or limited liability seller (GoDaddy, HostGator, etc.) – and you have confirmed ownership of WhoIs – you are now the official owner and operator of the site. work!

Of course your job is not done. This is just the beginning of your journey using the turnkey website to make money online. The following steps are marketing, promotion and learning how to bring targeted traffic to your site, which I will describe in the following articles.

When it comes to the turnkey shopping experience, every company is different. But there are some common topics in the buying process. If at any time you are unsure of what you should do or do not know how to complete the transfer of ownership of your website, never hesitate to contact the company you are buying from.

The more information you have and the better you understand how the website buying process works, the more comfortable and confident you will feel in the decisions you make – to become an Internet entrepreneur and work for yourself.
