How do you choose the ecommerce conferences you will attend?

Whether you are brand new to e-commerce or have been selling online since the early days of the internet, attending any of these conferences is a great way to forge new professional connections and learn from the brightest thoughts in the industry. But with so many choices and locations, how do you choose what your time and money are worth?

The most important thing is to ask yourself what you want to get out of it. If you could leave with just one deposit, what would it be? New business prospects or partnerships? New ideas, strategies or tactics? If you are looking for a network, some conferences may offer more opportunities (i.e. happy hours, etc.), while others may remain focused solely on content (i.e., major news and interruption sessions without many networking opportunities).
