Set up an account on sites like Wanelo, Fancy, and Pinterest and see what’s popular in different categories.

There are hundreds of millions of products on these platforms and people often overlook these places in their research. They are extremely valuable.

When researching each product idea, there are several factors to consider:

Avoid broad categories

People are already exposed to thousands of daily offers. Look for a supply of niche products highlighted by the biggest players in the market. For example, there is no specific interest group for the normal belt, but you can easily tell that cycling equipment will suit well with cycling enthusiasts. Look for niches like plus size women’s clothing, fitness gaiters, or yoga accessories.

Look for products you can sell for under $ 60

With a retail price range of $ 40- $ 60, earnings are relatively good and the conversion rate is usually higher as the purchase requires less consideration by the buyer.

Follow product trends

2. Sign up for a free Shopify account

In the old days you had to get a server, put an e-commerce system on it, hire someone to change it to suit your needs, and pay to maintain it. It was expensive, time consuming, and the end result is still a slow and inefficient site.

Shopify can create your store in just a few clicks, and your server setup and maintenance will take care of you.

Go to Shopify.com, click “Run Your Free Trial”, enter your store name and click “Create Your Store”.

3. Select a store theme

Visit the Shopify theme store and select a theme. There are many free options. To save time, try to find one that won’t need much change. A few popular selections are Supply and Simple.

Once you’ve found something you like, click “Start with this thread”.

How to customize your theme

To edit the look of the store, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize Theme.

In the right sidebar, you can see each section of your theme: header, body, footer, etc.

4. Add your logo

5. Prepare your standard pages

To create a page, visit → Online Store → Pages → Add Page.

About us – The collection page is where people will go to find out more about you when they are still deciding whether or not to buy. For now, you can keep it short and sweet.

Shipping and shipping information – Most resellers on AliExpress have very similar shipping rates and time frames that you can copy and paste.

contact us – Keeping close contact with customers is very important. Make sure you put a clearly visible “Contact Us” link on your store.

To create a contact page, click the Add New Page button and change the page template to a contact.

6. Add a payment gateway

Link a payment gateway, like Shopify Payments, to your store so you can start raising money.

7. Adjust the delivery settings

Most AliExpress resellers offer free shipping, so I suggest adding free shipping options to all your orders.

Go to Settings → Shipping and delete all non-international shipping zones and edit the international zone price to Free.

You can later adjust your shipping rates to include more shipping options, but for now, free shipping is enough.

8. Set up billing information

You will need to enter your Shopify billing information before you run the store, but you will be charged until the 14 day trial ends. Scroll to Settings → Account and enter your billing information.

Add products to your wishlist

Go to AliExpress.com to find the products you have decided to sell. Once you’ve found a product that meets your search criteria, add it to your AliExpress account wishlist.

If you are planning to sell in the US, see if your products can ship with the ePacket shipping option. EPacket only takes 14 days to arrive in the US, while other shipping options usually take more than a month.

Always go for the lowest price

Price on AliExpress usually drops with quality. You get so excited when you find the same product at a fraction of the price.

Although a lower price does not necessarily mean a lower quality and vice versa, we strongly recommend that you avoid these types of situations:

The two most important things when evaluating AliExpress.com vendors are their feedback ratings and positive reviews. Feedback rating indicates the volume of the seller, while a positive feedback rate represents the rate of feedback received by the supplier. Always aim for a 95% or higher positive feedback rate and a feedback rating of at least 2,000.

You should also consider individual product feedback and order number. It is much safer to buy a product that has been ordered several thousand times with a 90% positive feedback rating than a product that has only been sold twice but has a 100% positive rating.

Observe the vendor response

You have an emergency – the customer files a dispute into your PayPal account and insists on a refund. You want your supplier to respond to you right away, what’s bothering you?

To protect yourself from these situations, always check how much your AliExpress vendor reacted before importing their products. Write a message to them via AliExpress and see how fast you will get the right answer. You can even create a fictional scenario where you say you have received an order. Keep in mind how much time your salesperson needs to respond and how he handles the situation.

Import products into your store

Products can be manually installed in your store, but you can also use an app like Oberlo to automate the process. When you receive your order, Oberlo will automatically ship these products to customers.

Before importing a product into a store, you should set up an app. Go to the Oberlo settings page, set up your Price Multiplier and explore other settings.

After installing the extension, go to the AliExpress wish list and import any products that were previously saved.

Alternatively, you can browse AliExpress and once you find the products you want to import, click the blue arrow down button in the bottom right corner of your browser window.

The product is then added to the Oberlo Imports page in a list where you can edit and publish it in your store.

Improve your store

If you have time, here are some things you can do to improve your store.

1. Increase trust with the Free Trust Seals app

You bought it from someone you trusted, didn’t you? Most of your visitors will see your website for the first time and may be hesitant to buy from someone they have never heard of. Trust Stamps will display a set of security logos at the bottom of the page that can help reduce customer concerns.

2. Display prices in multiple currencies
