If you are more interested in putting your product in front of a lot of people, maybe Amazon or eBay might be right for you. It will lower your margins, but you will get sales faster.

Second, think about your long-term goals. How do you want to sell your product annually from now on? What’s in five years?

In other words, how much control do you want to sell your products? Your own dropshipping website will give you the most control, while platforms like Amazon or eBay will limit you in many ways. When it comes to brand control, sales and the like, it’s hard to beat your own website.

Although you can easily switch to another Dropshipping platform, there is one thing to keep in mind. If you start on Amazon or eBay and want to switch to your own dropshipping websites, you will not be able to move your user base to your site. Your positive reviews and customer experiences will be limited to that platform.

No matter which platform you choose, you’ll need to think about branding and digital marketing. You can have the best products and still miss you if you don’t have a brand to remember.
