Let’s face it: we all still have at least some our children’s toys in the hope that eventually they will make us rich – but are they really worth anything?

A large chunk of the country’s population fills parents ’attics with old toys, predicting that they will soon cost a bob or two.

While not all children’s toys and games will be valuable, there is no denying it some gems cost £ 100 – especially if they are rare and cost more the older they get. So how do you tell a garbage treasure?

Let’s bring you some of the most valuable baby toys and how much you could expect from them …

If you encounter the childhood toy fevers that your parents push to get rid of, don’t throw them all away at once. Take the time to figure out which old toys to store and sell.

This article is a good starting point, but do some additional research based on what you have and what toys can be considered rare and valuable in the future.

And if you accept it indeed seriously, you could even seek professional advice to find out how your collection is matched.

For starters, we’ll look at what is often portrayed as the Holy Grail of precious children’s toys – Beanie Baby.

Over the years, a number of viral articles have advertised these stuffed animals as thousands – but are they really worth anything?

How much does Beanie Baby cost?

If you’re lucky enough to have a rare Beanie Baby, then you can look at a few hundred pounds on eBay – but don’t forget that the vast majority of Beanie babies cost very little.

Even the Princess Diana Memorial, often referred to as one of the rarest, does not have time to attract much attention on eBay.

There are several gems that can be taken up 1000 pounds – Beanie Baby employee, for example. However, only 300 of them have been made (exclusively for Ty employees), so taking matters into your own hands will be difficult.

In this list you know well which Beanie Baby bears are the rarest and will cost the most money.

If you have Humphrey Camel either (Royal Blue) Peanut Elephantfor example, you may have a chance to sell them for a couple hundred pounds.

But watch out for things like that tags and whether there is a bear first or second generationas this will affect the price you can expect.

What are you looking for here until 1998. Poly Pockets – when they were quite tiny (and possibly dangerous to choke).

As with many things, exactly how much you can earn by selling Polly Pockets depends on what subject you are in.

    How much are Poly Pockets?

Two sets of Poly Pocket (The Little Mermaid and Alice in Wonderland) were previously sold on eBay for 1421 pounds – but they were in a state of mint and still fully packed.

If you haven’t kept all your toys unlocked in the original boxes, the cases with the gems may still be in between £ 10 – £ 30, but rare ones can sell to £ 450!!

When selling your vintage Polly pocket, try tying a few together to make a little more money (and save on postage).

  • Postcards

    Pokemon maps

The most expensive Pokemon card ever sold Map illustrator Pikachu for around £ 180,000 (including insurance premiums). A total of 30 were made, and they were awarded prizes in an illustration contest – and the chances of you getting one are very slim.

    How much are Pokémon cards?

There are a few other rare ones that are worth a look that can cost a few beans. The first edition Holographic cool shadows stands around £ 9000 for example, and the first edition Shining Charizard can bring around 1000 pounds.

However, these cards are incredibly rare, and the vast majority of Pokémon cards don’t cost much. The postcards of the first edition (published in 1999-2000) are definitely the ones to look out for.

Here is a short list of some basic features that allow you to guess whether your Pokémon map is important:

Symbol of rarity – This will be in the lower right corner. Circles and diamonds are common, but a star, H or three stars mean that the map is very rare.

Holograms – Holographic cards are usually more valuable, or “reverse gala cards” (those that shine around an image but not in the picture itself).

Errors – Pokemon maps with errors are the rarest and most valuable. Take a look at cards without shadows (those where the shadow near the image window is missing).

Additional characters or words – Watch for extra words after the name of the card – things like “former”, star or “legend” usually mean that the card is more valuable.

First Edition Cards – This is good money. Keep track of number one in the circle.

Collector Number – This is in the lower right corner of the map. The collector’s number, which exceeds the number in the total set, for example, 65/64, suggests that the card is a special edition.

If Pokémon cards do not have any of these features, try selling them online as volume set rather than maximizing your profits.
